The 2017 Work Camp Mission trip to San Marcos, Texas was a HUGE success!!

Happy New Year!!!
I'm really looking forward to an awesome year ahead and I hope you are as well!

What an awesome time we have at Xtreme this last week!!  The speakers were inspiring and the music was really loud but totally amazing!!!  The youth are already talking about going back next year.  What was really amazing is that three of our youth made the choice to make Jesus Christ Lord of their lives.  Now we continue the journey to make it a life time commitment together!  A HUGE thanks to Steve and Karen Tucker for going along and to Steve for his awesome driving!!

This week at Wesley:
Wednesday - Youth Gathering at 6:00
Saturday - Chautauqua Visioning Meeting - 9:00-12:00 - I would really love for some youth to be a part of this visioning meeting!!  They need to share in the vision of the church.  As the prophet Joel said, "And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions."  So we need our youth to help us see visions for Wesley and the world!!
Sunday - Sunday School at 9:45

Upcoming:
Wednesday - January 10 - Buddy Packs

January 20-21 - WOW in Springfield - LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER by this Wednesday.  Cost for late registration is $30 for youth and remainder paid by Youth Funds.

January 28 - CONFIRMATION CLASSES BEGIN - This is a step in the youth's faith journey that confirms the commitment they may have made to choose Christ and to become a part of the Wesley family!

Sorry for the lateness of this!  Had a very busy day yesterday with cooking for the Yesterday's Kids. I had some awesome help though from Annette and Pastor Tom.  Then there were Alex and Joe Vogel, Sean Burton, and Adam Walker that came in and helped get things ready and they served and cleaned up!!  What a blessing they were!!  It's always such a joy to get to work along those young men and Joe too!  So when I got home I crashed and didn't get this email out!
And, what a great day we had on Sunday as well!!  The youth had a great time with the gift exchange and the games.  A special thanks to Pastor Tom and Suzy for hosting us!!

This week at Wesley:
Wednesday - BUDDY PACKS - ALL HANDS ON DECK!!  I realize that several will be studying for finals so I don't want them to stress out.  If they feel they need to stay home and study that will be okay!  We will end the evening with a stop at Cold Stone Creamery!  We may be a little late getting back but not much!
I will send a separate email out tomorrow for those going to Branson next week!
I do hope you and your family have a blessed and JOY filled Christmas!
